Window Cleaning – Quote Inclusions & Conditions

Unless otherwise stated on your quote, our standard window cleaning service includes:

• Cleaning of the glass included within the quoted scope
• Removal of normal dirt, dust, fingerprints, cobwebs and general environmental grime
• Standard cleaning of accessible internal and/or external glass, as specified on your quote
• Use of water-fed pole equipment for upper-storey exterior glass where appropriate
• Reasonable setup and access required to complete the quoted work

Your quote is based on the property information, photographs, window/panel quantities and other information available to us at the time of quoting.

Your quoted price is fixed for the agreed scope of work and assumes that:

• the number and type of windows or glass panes are substantially as described, photographed or estimated when quoted;
• the windows are reasonably accessible using our standard cleaning equipment and methods;
• the glass is in a condition suitable for standard maintenance cleaning; and
• there are no unusual conditions requiring specialist cleaning, restoration or substantially additional labour.

If the actual scope, quantity, access or condition is materially different from what was reasonably apparent when quoted, we will let you know before undertaking any additional chargeable work. We will never undertake additional chargeable work without your approval.

Our standard window cleaning service is designed to remove normal surface dirt and grime. Standard cleaning does not include specialist removal, treatment or restoration of:

• hard-water, mineral or bore-water staining;
• acid or chemical staining or etching;
• paint or paint overspray;
• cement, mortar, render or other building residue;
• silicone;
• stickers, tape or adhesive residue;
• heavy oxidation;
• construction or renovation residue;
• scratching, etching or damaged glass/coatings; or
• other contaminants requiring specialist products, equipment or substantially additional labour.

If these conditions are discovered, we will perform the normal cleaning process on the affected glass. Marks or staining that remain after standard cleaning are not considered incomplete cleaning. Where appropriate, additional stain removal or glass restoration may be offered and quoted separately.

Please note that some staining, scratching, etching, chemical damage and other pre-existing glass damage may be permanent and cannot be removed by cleaning or restoration.

Normal accumulated dirt and grime are included in our standard cleaning service. Where windows have excessive or unusual contamination requiring substantially more work than a normal maintenance clean, additional cleaning may be required.

Examples may include:

• excessive bird droppings;
• heavy insect residue;
• significant organic buildup;
• long-term neglect; or
• contamination requiring repeated or specialist treatment.

If additional charges are required, we will advise you before undertaking the additional work.

Unless otherwise stated on your quote, our standard residential window cleaning packages include:

• Single-storey homes — up to 20 standard panes
• Double-storey homes — up to 35 standard panes
• A pane means one individual section of glass. For example, a window containing two separate sections of glass is counted as two panes.

Additional Panes – Inside & Outside Cleaning

Where the number of panes exceeds the included allowance:

• Additional standard pane — $12 each
• Additional large or door-sized pane — $15 each
• Oversized, architectural or specialty glass — quoted separately

Additional Panes – Exterior-Only Cleaning

For exterior-only services:

• Additional standard ground-floor pane — $7 each
• Additional upper-storey/pole pane — $10 each
• Additional large or door-sized pane — $10 each
• Oversized, difficult-access or specialty glass — quoted separately

Large or oversized glass may include sliding-door panels, floor-to-ceiling glass and other glass materially larger than a typical residential window pane.

If additional panes or materially different glass are identified onsite, we will advise you of the additional cost before proceeding.

Our quote assumes reasonable and safe access to the windows included in the quoted scope. Additional charges or exclusions may apply where access is materially different from what was reasonably apparent when quoted, including:

• windows above difficult rooflines;
• restricted or obstructed access;
• areas requiring unusual ladder positioning or specialist access equipment;
• locked rooms, gates or other inaccessible areas;
• significant obstacles preventing normal access; or
• conditions our technicians consider unsafe.

We reserve the right not to clean any window or area where our technicians reasonably determine that it cannot be accessed safely.

To help us complete the service efficiently, please provide reasonable access to the windows included in your booking. Where practical, please:

• unlock gates, doors and relevant access areas;
• move fragile or valuable items away from windows;
• provide reasonable clearance around internal windows; and
• advise us of any known damaged glass, unusual staining or access issues.

Our technicians will take reasonable care around your property but are not responsible for moving heavy furniture or other items where doing so may create a safety or damage risk.

Where required to access the quoted glass, removal and reinstallation of standard, readily removable flyscreens is included in our standard window cleaning service.

Cleaning or washing of flyscreens is only included where specifically stated in your quote or service package.

Security screens, fixed screens and screens requiring specialist removal are not included for removal unless specifically agreed.

Our technicians may decline to remove any screen that is damaged, brittle, deteriorated, difficult to remove or where removal or reinstallation may reasonably result in damage.

Tracks, frames and sills are only included where specifically stated in your quote or service package.

Standard window cleaning does not include deep cleaning of heavily soiled window sills.

Where a window sill requires additional detailed cleaning beyond a normal wipe-down, a Window Sill Deep Clean may be charged at $15 per window.

This may apply where sills have significant:

• built-up dirt;
• mould;
• insect debris;
• staining;
• grease; or
• other contamination requiring additional time and treatment.

Where additional sill cleaning is required, we will advise you before undertaking the additional chargeable work.

Please advise us of any known damaged or defective windows before work begins.

Our service cannot correct pre-existing conditions such as:

• scratched, cracked or chipped glass;
• failed seals or double-glazing;
• damaged window tint or coatings;
• oxidised or deteriorated frames;
• damaged screens;
• existing water ingress;
• glass etching; or
• other pre-existing defects.

Where our technicians identify a condition that may create a risk of damage, we may exclude the affected area from the service.

If you believe an area included in the agreed scope has not been cleaned to the expected standard, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can assess the issue and, where appropriate, rectify the cleaning.

Marks resulting from permanent staining, etching, scratching, damaged coatings, mineral deposits or other conditions outside the standard cleaning scope are not considered cleaning defects.

Requests made onsite for additional windows, panes, areas or services not included in the original quote will be treated as additional work.

We will confirm any additional cost with you before proceeding.

No additional chargeable work will be undertaken without your approval.

By accepting this quote or instructing us to proceed with the service, you confirm acceptance of the quoted scope and these Window Cleaning Quote Inclusions & Conditions.

Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
